i shoot these bikes a lot – because i like how they remind me of animals that were maybe “ravaged in the wild”. i think it’s interesting that, like animals, they once had movement and now they don’t. i also like how they take on a real sculptural quality.

i always photograph them without people (so as not to distract) but i think this one works. the guy on the left is positioned as if he’s staring at a crime scene… being a witness.
